History of Large & Gilbert, P.C.  L&G
was established in 1966 in Macon, GA, by Oliver Large, the founding shareholder.
Rhonda Gilbert, the current managing shareholder, joined the firm in 1977.
In 1979, the firm began specializing in the construction industry, and
by 1983 the team had opened an office in Atlanta to work exclusively with
industrial and commercial contractors.
Tom Savage joined the firm in 1987, becoming a shareholder in 1994. In
1995, L&G said farewell to their founding shareholder, Oliver Large,
who retired to his condo in Buckhead.
In the mid 90’s, L&G began selling construction accounting
software systems as they became aware of the need to help their clients
with this aspect of their business. Also in the 90’s, L&G added
other various services for their construction clients such as wealth management,
analyzing internal controls, business continuity planning, and estate
planning.
L&G’s client roster has now grown to more than 200 clients,
still specializing in the construction industry, but expanding to include
developers and home builders, and continuing to add services to meet the
financial needs of their clients.
