Rhonda M. Gilbert, CPA
Managing Shareholder

L&G Managing Shareholder Rhonda M. Gilbert has worked in construction accounting for more than two decades and has specialized in the construction industry since joining L&G in 1979. Since then, she has worked almost exclusively with the general contractors, subcontractors, and heavy equipment contractors who comprise 95% of the firm's client and revenue base. Rhonda's primary concentrations are in assisting contractors with increasing their profits, maximizing their bond capacity, getting the most out of their accounting systems, and consulting. She also assists contractors in preparing for legal claims and has served as an expert witness on construction matters.

A popular guest speaker and an active participant in professional associations in both the accounting and construction fields, Rhonda is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Associated General Contractors, the Associated Builders and Contractors (treasurer, 1995 to 2000), the American Subcontractors Association, and the Georgia Utility Contractors Association. Her many speaking engagements have included presentations to the Atlanta Floor Covering Contractors Association, the Association of Mechanical Contractors of Atlanta, Inc., the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia, the Timberline Users Group, the American Subcontractors Association, the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (Atlanta chapter), and the National Association of Women in Construction, to name a few.

Rhonda holds a B.A. in accounting from Georgia College & State University.

 

Thomas K. Savage, CPA
Shareholder

L&G Shareholder Thomas K. Savage has nearly two decades of experience in public accounting and has specialized in the construction industry since 1987. Tom's primary responsibilities at L&G focus on quality control for accounting services provided to the firm's general contractors, subcontractors, and heavy equipment contractors. Among other duties, Tom supervises preparation of audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements and performs technical reviews of staff-prepared audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements.

Active in both accounting and construction industry professional groups, Tom holds memberships in the American Institute of CPAs, the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Associated General Contractors, the Associated Builders and Contractors, the American Subcontractors Association and the Construction Financial Management Association.

He graduated from Auburn University with a B.A. in accounting.

 

Gary S. Fortier, CPA, CITP
Shareholder

L&G Shareholder Gary S. Fortier is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). An accounting professional for more than ten years, he has specialized in accounting technology consulting and construction-industry accounting systems and implementation since 1994.

At L&G, Gary's primary responsibilities include training client accounting personnel, assisting clients with generating monthly in-house financial statements, and consulting on and selling accounting software. His knowledge and experience with accounting technology has helped lead Large & Gilbert to an affiliation with Foundation Software, Inc., a national leader in construction accounting software.

A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, Gary frequently represents L&G at meetings of the Construction Financial Management Association and the Associated Builders and Contractors.

Gary graduated cum laude from Bentley College with a B.S. in accounting.

 

Jeffrey D. Aldridge, CPA
Shareholder

L&G Accounting Manager, Jeff Aldridge, has worked in construction accounting with the firm since 1998. Jeff’s primary responsibilities at L&G focus on the supervision of L&G’s accounting staff, as well as quality control and technical updates to accounting services provided to the firm’s general contractors, subcontractors, and heavy equipment contractors. He also provides clients with specialized business management services such as financial and tax forecasts, reviews of client monthly in-house financial statements, and litigation support.

Jeff is an Eagle Scout who holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association for Challenge Course Technology.

He graduated from The University of Mississippi with a Master of Accountancy degree.



Paul D. Schmidt
Shareholder

L&G Audit Manager, Paul D. Schmidt, has worked with the firm since 1999. He is responsible for performing and supervising audit engagements for the firm’s clients, as well as training the L&G accounting and auditing staff in audit procedures.

He graduated from Clayton College & State University with a degree in accounting.
