History of Large & Gilbert, P.C. L&G was established in 1966 in Macon, GA, by Oliver Large, the founding shareholder. Rhonda Gilbert, the senior and also a founding shareholder, joined the firm in 1977.

In 1979, the firm began specializing in the construction industry, and by 1983 the team had opened an office in Atlanta to work exclusively with industrial and commercial contractors.

Tom Savage joined the firm in 1987, becoming a shareholder in 1994.

In the mid 80's, L&G began offering services to their contractors assisting them with their in-house accounting systems and developing and teaching them to use accurate and efficient management reports. Gary Fortier, who is the partner in charge of this department, joined the firm in 1996.

In the 90's, L&G began to offer other services that our contractors requested such as: high-level tax planning, wealth/retirement planning, managing clients and their employees 401k accounts, business continuity planning and estate planning.

L&G is now blessed to work with over 200 contractors. In addition, we now work with some of the area's largest homebuilders and developers. We will continue to develop better ways to help our contractors make more money and keep more profits.
